Treasurer's Report discussed (view at end of minutes).  CD due May 28th.  Funds that had been converted from library fundraising efforts to Tropical Storm Irene Assistance discussed.  RCML raised donations provided dumpsters allowing 16 tons of debris to be removed from Pittsfield.  Approximately $2,300 raised, dumpster rental paid for.  Casella overcharge discrepancy to be resolved.  Trustees voted to turn over remaining funds to Hurricane Relief Fund.

Brief tour of library space.  Placement of shelving, circulation desk, etc discussed.  Sharon had approached local builder re: fabrication of a 7' x 5' circulation desk and received estimate of $2,700-$3,600 depending on materials.  Decision made to come up with another ides.  Eunice had researched price of a new drop box as previous one was likely destroyed during reconstruction.  She noted these were also very expensive.

Use of $10,000 CD intended for capital improvement discussed.  Anticipated needs and rough estimated costs as follows:
2 computers-$2,000
Circulation desk-$1,500
Labor to put library back together again- $1,500
Cataloguing materials-$500
Casters to make old shelving moveable-$800
Patron comfort- $500
Signage- $250
Key Solution-$200
Other needs/wants include- filing cabinet, wheeled cart, projector, drop box, computer desk.

Trustees met briefly with Town Clerk Patty Haskins to review interior color choices.  It was decided that the library wiould be painted with the same color pallet as the rest of the interior.  Patty to inform builders of our choices.

After surveying the new space and discussing possible layout it was decided that Sharon would ask Doug Johnstone  what a 5ft x5ft L shaped checout desk might cost to construct.
