Spring is here!  We had quite a crowd show up today to make smoothies and mac n' cheese with Eunice.  20 kids and 7 parents showed up to read, learn, cook and eat.  And since spring is in the air, we all headed out to the playground behind the library to enjoy the weather.  It was a joy to see kids of all ages, from several different schools, all hanging out enjoying themselves.

Please enjoy a few photos from today.

Edie Johnstone presented another wonderful program, thanks Edie, Traci and Angelique for providing this wonderful opportunity for our children.   Join us this Tuesday to cook with Eunice!

Don't forget the library dinner on the 1st (the dinner's sold out, but you can still stop by for the silent auction).

Now it's your turn to pitch in, our next library work day is April 5th at 1pm, come early to join the volunteer and trustee meeting at noon.  No experience required.

We have a wonderful program with lots of parent and volunteer involvement.  If you have not yet read it, please take a moment to read the letter to parents.

Thank you Traci Templeton! Today the children had a wonderful time making a rainbow of their hand prints, and filling the pot of gold with the things they love about their community.

Creative headbands, coloring, and the Shamrock Stomp rounded out our afternoon. Please be sure to thank Traci when you see her, she has put a huge amount of effort and creativity into this spring's after school program.

Thank you Jennifer, Traci and our youngest volunteer Christina for making yesterday's after school program so much fun.  Jennifer Burch inspired the group by reading a story about magic hats, then showed us how to make origami hats.  Traci supplied the painting materials and books on origami and Japanese culture, and Christina finished off the program by reading a Japanese fable.

Next Tuesday we'll be celebrating St. Patrick's day with a special project.  Parents, don't forget to read the letter to parents for details on our program.
