We want your ideas!

As renovations on our library space continue, we are getting excited to move in.  We will be upstairs in the building that most recently held the library on the first floor and the town office in the basement.  Before that our building was a the town's school house.

We are now planning layout, book purchases, we are testing a new in expensive option to automate our book catalog and check out too.  In addition to all that we want to continue our role as a place for the Pittsfield community to come together.  We are starting to plan programs for the next year.  DO you have young children?  Would you like to help organize a story time program?  Do you have a talent (music, cooking, outdoor skills, writing, drawing, crafts) you would like to share with kids, teens or adults?  Are you a good organizer, would you like to help set up a movie or game night?  How about a book club?  We used to have one with monthly meetings in the library, are you interested in seeing it come back?

Drop us a line with your ideas, or just let us know if you want to be part of the crew.

    Guidelines for Kid Programs
Children of all ages are welcome to attend our programs.  However, children 2nd grade and younger require a parent present.  Parents are encouraged to accompany an older child who may benefit from your guidance.

Parents are responsible for their children while they are attending library programs, including when the child is dropped off by bus, or when the parent chooses to leave the building or program site. This program starts at 3:45 and end promptly at 5 pm.

    Annual Book Sale

Held every September during the Pittsfield Bazaar. This year will be a BIG one! See you there.

    Halloween Book Giveaway

Held every year during Trick r' Treating, on the Village Green. We'll be there with hot cider and plenty of great books for kids.
