Vermont Author and Artist Mark Gonyea Visits Roger Clark Memorial Library for a SPOOKY Story Time and Scratch Art Demonstration
Come meet Mark and listen to him read his new book, The Spooky Box.  Afterwards, Mark will demonstrate his Scratch Art.  Then we can all join in on some Scratch Art fun.  Snacks provided.

About Mark

Mark Gonyea is the author and illustrator of The Spooky Box, Wish For Elves, A Book About Design: Complicated Doesn’t Make It Good,Another Book About Design: Complicated Doesn’t Make It Bad, A Book About Color: A Clear and Simple Guide for Young Artists. He was born on a cold winter morning in upstate New York and spent the majority of his childhood consuming cartoons, video games, monster movies and roaming house to house pleading for candy from strangers. He would later trade his stockpile of candy for art supplies, setting in motion the events that would eventually lead to you picking up and reading this book.

About Our Youth Programs

Children of all ages are welcome to attend our programs.  However, children 2nd grade and younger require a parent present.  Parents are encouraged to accompany an older child who may benefit from your guidance.  Parents are responsible for their children while they are attending library programs, including when the child is dropped off by bus, or when the parent chooses to leave the building or program site.
