At the beginning of the night I thought we had a low turn out, only 50.  Yes, 50 is a HUGE turnout for a library and a town of our size, but low compared to last year.  But the families just kept coming...I lost count at 65!  I know the 15 pizzas we ordered from Picarellos were gone in a flash.

It was a great night.  Doug and Kelley Lewis of Eliteam Camps once again brought a taste of their amazing program to our community, for free.  Adults running and jumping through hoops, preschoolers catching jello cubes dropped from 10 feet up, moms leaping off trampolines, dads working on their "high knee butt kicks," and a little talk about why libraries are awesome.

It was a great chance for us all to be inspired, entertained, and most of all get together as a community.  Stop by at the Pittsfield Bazaar for another taste of community when the public will get to judge the Pittsfield photo contest, and we'll hold our fourth annual book sale.

Thank you again Kelley and Doug Lewis for a great program, thank you Susie Martin for donating hay bales and manning the library desk, thank you Sharon for the great new banner you procured, thank you Traci and Mimi for showing up early to get lemonade and water out, thank you all the families who pitched in picking up Pizza, timing runners, and dropping jello!

On Friday September 10th, Doug & Kelley Lewis and ELITEAM fitness camps return to Pittsfield to host a fun, fitness event for people of ALL ages at the Roger Clark Memorial Library. This is the third year of ELITEAM's program at RCML, and it is one of the library's most popular events.  Starting at 5:00, Doug & Kelley will warm up the entire group and then everyone will get a chance to work on their agility with relays and the Obstacle course. New this year is the famous "jello drop", some dance moves, and tire flipping! This is a super fun event for ALL abilities and ages.

The program will be followed by a free Community Pizza Dinner at 6:30. This event is free and open to the public.

See photos from last year's event HERE and  HERE.
