The Library has arranged for Jen Vaughn, a Master's student at the Center for Cartoon Studies, to lead a workshop for 4th grade through high school students who are really into creating art.
We have been given 12 wooden puzzle pieces by the Vermont Arts Council to create a group piece for the "Art Fits Vermont" project that artists are working on statewide this year.
Jen is an exceptional teacher (and Karaoke champion!) who has a special connection with young adults. She will lead the group incorporating collage from photography, discarded library books, original cartoons and typography to create a 12 piece project that will go on permanent display in the library.
PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED BY MAY 8th.
SATURDAY MAY 30th from 10am - 3pm.
We'll provide lunch and snack.
Plan on staying the entire session.
Call Angelique at 746-9910 if you have any questions or to register by phone.
To register by email [email protected] with your name, grade and phone number.

What an amazing community we live in! Last week we sold out all 85 seats at our fund raising dinner. It was a wonderful evening of community. Many local individuals and businesses donated items for our silent Auction. And on top of it all, at the end of the evening Jason Evans of The Clear River Inn told us he would not be charging the library ANYTHING for the meal! As a result we earned $2373 ($1024 from the auction, $1150 from the dinner). |
