What an amazing community we live in! Last week we sold out all 85 seats at our fund raising dinner. It was a wonderful evening of community. Many local individuals and businesses donated items for our silent Auction. And on top of it all, at the end of the evening Jason Evans of The Clear River Inn told us he would not be charging the library ANYTHING for the meal! As a result we earned $2373 ($1024 from the auction, $1150 from the dinner).
This is spectacular. 2 years ago our library's entire annual budget was $350. We have no shortage of ideas on how best to spend the money.
