Opening Day January 8th ... if you can help
We don't have all the books on the shelves, we haven't cataloged them all, we haven't purchased the whole pile of new books that are coming; in fact there are still a lot of things we're working on. But we are an all volunteer library and we know you'll understand. Our mission is to promote community and literacy, and we can't really do that when we're closed. So we have decided to begin our new schedule starting January 8th and hope that folks will be happy to get into the new library space, will bear with us and who knows ... might even lend a hand when they stop in.
Where do YOU come in? Starting on the 8th we plan to be open Tuesdays and Thursday's from 3 to 6pm. We are an ALL volunteer library, so we need a volunteer to cover each of those shifts. No experience or special skills are required. We will train you. Can you commit to one 3 hour shift every month? If we get 10 people to do that, the library can open.

Library Work Evening
We WOULD like to get as many books onto the shelves as soon as possible. We'll be having a work evening to unpack books and get organized on Tuesday January 8th at 6pm. If you think you might come by please e mail or call me (marion at 8122). There's a chance schedules might change, and that way I can keep you informed.
