Upcoming book sale at Bazaar on 9/26/09 discussed. Additional book donations for sale will be solicited via email and notice to Johnnie Goldfish by Marion. Angelique will post sign at Pitt-Stop and library. Books will be culled and organized evening of 9/24, 5-7 pm. Volunteers are asked to sign up in advance for shifts to manage book sale at Bazaar.
Regarding book purchases: Marion volunteered to purchase with library funds picture books and easy readers. Sharon and Angelique plan an expedition to purchase with library funds new books for the adult and young adult collection. Angelique will also arrange to add to our children's collection from a new six month allotment available from the state children's library. Susie will continue to add to our collection at her discretion. Establishing an Amazon account to facilitate future purchases was also discussed; Angelique will investigate. Marion will be emailing library patrons to inform them of new books recently added to our collection.

Susie, Sharon and Angelique reported on recent Automation Demo they attended. Automation of RCML collection discussed-advantages, cost. Angelique will seek additional information from Vermont Organization of Koha Automated Libraries regarding implementing a Koha automation system and report back to trustees.
Plans to combine an all ages " Adventure Race" activity session with athletic trainers Doug & Kelly Lewis with a final summer library picnic discussed. Marion will contact the Lewis duo with suggested date of Friday, September 11, 2009, 5-6:30 pm. Event to be followed by purchased pizza & beverages. Desserts to be solicited from library volunteers.
Upcoming after school programming briefly discussed. Is Traci Templeton interested in spearheading the program? Marion will ask.
Sharon volunteered to investigate the creation of library policies, procedures, and emergency plans and to organize a committee to present results to library trustees.
All volunteers are encouraged to consult the calendar and sign up for shifts.
