Revised plans for Town Clerk's Office and Library Buillding as presented at recent meeting of Selectmen discussed. Revised plan as presented by the architect would allow the upstairs of the refurbished building to be used as the library. Library trustees who were present at the meeting requested that plans include lift access to make library handicapped accessable. Revised plans would keep the basement empty until proven dry and suitable for use. The trustees were very supportive of the revised plan. Karen to compose an email alerting library patrons of revised plan.
Traci reported that after school programming has been very well attended with nearly 40 children registered for programming. Last program of the spring season will be next Tuesday.
Fudraiser update from Sharon. Slated for May 12, 2010 at the Clear River Tavern. Supporters will be asked to make and pay for reservations in advance via any trustee who will be able to access reservation spreadsheet on google.doc. Sharon will update trustees on accessing goodle.doc to do so. Anticipated capacity of the fundraiser is 100. Sold out last year. Anticipated costs: $9 adults, $3 children. Anticipated prices: $18 adults, $8 children. Menu: buffet style soups, appetizers, desserts. Desserts to be provided by trustees/volunteers. Karen will manage dessert donations. Traci will look into entertainment for children, "King of Silly" performer suggested. Angelique will see to Book Sponsorship details. 50/50 raffle likely. Photo contest to be promoted with display by Angelique.
Adult program to take place May 5th. Topic: Travel in teh American Southwest. Presenters: Ann Taylor, Doug Johnstone, Angelique Lee.
Teen program slated for May 7th. Movie & pizza. Marion to supply DVD player & speakers. Nancy Blessing to be asked to provide projector.
Cassie Lee nominated to reply to email request from Jasmin Khan, a Texan student who has requested information re: Roger Clark in her search for memorials to Vietnam veterans. We hope Cassie will take on the assignment and look forward to the results.
